Roster Limits
Active in-season rosters are limited to between 35 players minimum and 48 players maximum (practice squad and Injury Reserve). This will allow us to ensure we can field 48 man clubs in order to help reach the feeling of managing your own team. It is the owner's responsibility to stay within the limits during the season. They will be warned for any transaction they make that violates the roster limit and will have two days to correct the mistake.
Any team over or under the roster limit may not complete a transaction that caused them to do so, that being said a team may conditionally waive players to stay under the roster limit. If a trade puts a team over the roster limit with a player conditionally waived and the trade is not approved, than the player returns to his team and is not waived. If the trade is valid, then the players waiver clock immediately starts thereafter. During the offseason teams can be over or under requirements as long as salary cap is not exceeded. Rosters are to be between 35 and 48 upon the conclusion of the NFL Preseason.
A full lineup is required to start every week, regardless if a player is a UFA currently or if that player is on a bye week. Every position should be filled.
Drafted players and every signed players Salary cap will be rounded to the nearest 10,000.
Example:
Larry Fitzgerald $10,987,000 (2013)
would become
Larry Fitzgerald $10.99 (2013)
Salary Cap
In the Legacy NFL, the salary cap for each team is set at $105M. This cap may increase or decrease with league proposition voting with at least one year' notice.
Any owner that is found to be deliberately losing (not setting most competitive lineup, not setting lineup at all) will be reviewed by the league and appropriate action will be taken.
Each owner is expected to remain under the salary cap AT ALL TIMES. There are no exceptions and fines will be handed out for any violations.
2022 proposition #4: Legacy GMs have voted on a progressive salary cap raise over the next few seasons.
2023: 110M
2024: 115M
2025: 120M
2026: 125M
Appeal Process
Whenever you have a player with a recurring injury such as a concussion, career ending injury, or behavioral problems that results in suspensions, you may place an appeal to the commissioner's office stating your case. If you win your appeal you may be able to cut your player at a lowered cap hit. We will base our decision on your appeal itself so MAKE A GOOD CASE FOR YOURSELF.
Gaines Adams Rule: Any player who passes away while under Legacy contract can be removed from your roster with no cap penalty.
Injured Reserve
Injured Reserve Players include players on NFL Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) or Injured Reserve (IR).
Players placed on IR (optional) will not count toward the 48-player active roster limit. Any player moved to IR or activated from IR must be declared on the Injured Reserve area of Proboards. Any player added to the Injured Reserve (Or PUP List) of an NFL roster is eligible to be added to your Legacy IR and can be activated once their respective NFL team activates the player.
Players on IR may be traded, and each off-season the Players must be moved back to the active roster.

The Legacy MFL plays weekly in head to head match ups. This means that in a given matchup whichever team scores the most points overall will be awarded with the win. If the game ends in a tie, the bench points will determine the winner.
Standings will start with head 2 head records and have the following tie breakers. The 1st tie breaker will be the teams all play record (MFL record against every team throughout the season) The 2nd tiebreaker is the total points scored in the season. The 3rd tiebreaker is conference record. The 4th tiebreaker will be the best division record.
Roster Positions
We believe in a flexible lineup to help each team stay competitive and to help create that flexible and realistic roster that we all like to see.
Your weekly starting lineup should consist of:
1 QB
1 RB
2 WR
1 TE
1 RB/WR
1 TE/WR
1 Offensive Flex (RB/WR/TE)
1 Kicker
Defense
2 Defensive Tackle
2 Defensive Ends
3 Linebackers
2 Cornerbacks
2 Safety
1 Flex (DT,DE,LB,CB,S)
21 Starters
Setting an active lineup every week of the NFL season is an ironclad requirement to maintain a position as GM in Legacy. If there is a reason a lineup can not be posted, let league management know beforehand and we can discuss. Not setting your lineup should be considered a black mark punishable by removal from the league.

We believe that defense is just as important as offense so we would like to set the bar high to help create an overall equality or near importance of every member in your ball club.
An invalid line-up in any given week will result in a scoring adjustment that effectively gives a team a zero for the highest scoring player in their starting line-up, in that same week when the infraction occurs.
