Legacy NFL GM's,
It has been brought to my attention that we have not reset the waiver priority list in some time, in fact I don't think its ever been reset since the start of the league. The reason for this is that when I took the league over, there were some real league managerial issues, and I went with league precedence which was to continue to go with a continuous waver wire priority instead of year start resets. Ideally, the waiver wire list priority list needs to be reset every year at the beginning of the new year from worst to last organizational records. The waiver wire priority list should have been reset before the year started, however it was an oversight by me, and I apologize for my failure to react accordingly. The question now is how do we resolve this problem. Either we can stay the course for one more year and restart the waiver wire priority list new at the start of the 2017 season, or we can restart it now, based on last years closing regular season records. However, if we do restart in the immediate, I will not be reversing any waiver wire priority transactions that have already taken place.
Thoughts?

Personally, I would prefer the immediate restart. There is another problem that has arisen, and that is one team was mistakenly attributed with a waiver wire claim that that team did not actually ever make. However, because it was recorded on Proboards, we have now way of going back to see where this team was on the priority list. In other words, because we have never reset this priority list, after 3 years, its almost impossible to go back and correct this mistake.

I would do an immediate reset. If that means that some of this season's waiver claims need to be revised then so be it. The whole concept of the waiver claim system if to provide a small advantage to the teams with the worst records to try to create a little more parity.

I agree with Greg, currently there is no real advantage for the teams who are weakest due to the waiver order being 3+ years old

Okay, I think its a con consensus here that we should reset the waiver wire priority list ASAP, and we will do so every year at the start of a new season. Also, I will not be reversing any transaction in regards to waiver wire awards. However, for those teams that lost out on a player on the waiver wire since January because of a misplaced waiver wire order, I am open to compensating those teams with a lower level comp pick for the League's mistake. You can file your appeal with me via PM. The old waiver wire priority list can be found here: legacynfl.boards.net/board/121/archives-waivers-2013-2015
