The trade deadline in Legacy is extremely early in the season (Mimicing the real NFL if I'm correct). If a team suffers an injury late midseason they are often out of the running.
We could make the deadline the start of week 10 to allow further emergency trading towards the end of the season?

I like idea of pushing back the trade deadline if we could think about this idea and/or put this proposition on a poll for vote. I'm also not apposed to year around trading but think at least pushing back the deadline is a good idea.

I've seen leagues with no in-season trade deadline at all. id be curious to hear from people in leagues like that how it's worked out, it does suck pretty bad when a good team falls apart with no real means of filling holes.
As per the proposal, yeah I would 100% be in favor of pushing the deadline back as far as people feel comfortable.

I'd be curious to know how that works as well if anyone had experience with no in season trade deadline. I'd like the idea of having no in season trade deadline. Or at least til the playoffs start. I think the original concern was teams dumping their roster to a contender on the cheap just to get something for them. At the same time I don't know how much of that is just part of playing in Dynasty. Also think the previous rule Jesse suggested about the draft pick seeding revamp may help with the extending of the trade deadline. It's another way to get GM's involved who may be out of the playoff race sooner than others. They could take the option of selling off for assets but would also have to keep in mind the point system that will affect their draft seeding if do try a mass sell of talent. I don't want to speak for Jesse about his proposal so it's possible I'm interpreting his rule incorrectly in this scenario. But I like the idea of no in season deadline for trades and think the draft pick seeding revamp would work well with this rule as well.

I do think no or a later trade deadline will keep GM's engaged longer.

I was in a 32 team league that had no deadline but after week 8 NO draft picks could be traded past that week. You get an injured player that is good for a starter because someone got hurt. Commish was the only one that voted on these trades. Works well.
