For multiple reasons, I'm late to the normal mid-season posts for the playoff race. None the less, with but two games remaining in the season, here we go!
In the NFC Conference...Regardless of scenario, the Panthers, Giants, Rams & Football Team have officially secured a playoff position.
Panthers (10-1) have officially secured their division title and currently possess the #1 Seed, followed closely by the #2 Seed
Giants (10-1)
Panthers appear to have an easier path to securing the top seed, as they will face the Patriots (4-7) and Falcons (4-7) for their final two games; whereas the Giants will face the Texans (2-9) and DR Football Team (9-2).
Rams (7-4) are currently seeded at #3, and like the Panthers, have officially won their division title. They will face the Bengals (8-3) this week, and finish at home against DR Seahawks (4-7).
Lions (6-5) currently at the #4 Seed, maintains a one-game lead, including the H2H advantage, in the NFC North Division over DR Packers (5-6). Both teams will travel to the AFC West for their Week 12 match-up, with a final game H2H match-up. Only the winner of this division will make the playoffs.
Football Team (9-2) has the #5 Seed, closely followed by #6 Seed... DR...
Eagles (8-3)
Football Team will face the Colts (8-3) and DR Giants (10-1) for their final two games; whereas the Eagles will face the Titans (5-6) and DR Cowboys (5-6) for their season finale's.
Bucs (7-4) currently seeded #7, possess the final wildcard position over ON THE BUBBLE DR Saints (7-4) due to ownership of the H2H tie-breaker. However, these teams will face-off for their season finale. In the interim, Bucs will face the Dolphins (10-1) in Week 12; whereas the Saints will square off with Jets (10-1).
MEANWHILE the AFC Conference is not so easily set... Dolphins, Jets, Bengals, Browns, and Colts have secured a playoff position. Chiefs and Charger also currently hold a seeded position. Still in yet, this conference is subject to myriad of changes.
Dolphins (10-1) currently hold the H2H over DR Jets (10-1), and therefore own the #1 Seed. With two games remaining, either team can still win the division. Dolphins will face the Bucs (7-4) this upcoming week; whereas the Jets will host the Saints (7-4). The season finale will be against one another. The winner will win the division, and the loser wins the top wildcard position.
Colts (8-3) are currently positioned as the #2 Seed, and have officially secured the AFC South Title. They will face the Football Team (9-2) in Week 11, and finish their season against DR Texans (2-9).
Bengals (8-3), currently seeded #3, holds a one-game lead over DR Browns (7-4). They will challenge the Rams (7-4) in Week 11 before their season finale against the Browns.
Chiefs (7-4) have possession of the #4 Seed. With a one-game lead over DR Chargers (6-5), including H2H, they will face the Lions (6-5) this upcoming week, before their showdown with the Chargers. These two teams are also dead-even in All-Play, making it possible to advance to the next tie-breaker if needed. A couple of losses here could open the door for the Titans (5-6).
Jets (10-1) hold the top wildcard position at the #5 Seed. Still in contention for AFC East Title, they will face-off with Saints (7-4) in Week 11 before their re-match with the Dolphins.
Browns (7-4), seeded #6, are one-game behind DR Bengals and still have a shot of winning the AFC North Title. Week 11 brings a contest against the Seahawks (4-7) before hosting the Bengals in their season finale.
Chargers (6-5) are in control of the final seed, #7. Facing the Packers (5-6) in Week 11 and Chiefs (7-4) in Week 12, they still possess an opportunity to win the AFC West Title. A loss in either or both weeks could potentially open the door for the ON THE BUBBLE Jaguars (5-6) or Titans (5-6) to make their playoff appearance.
