I'd like to submit that all GMs be required to join GroupMe. It is way more convenient than getting to a computer several times a day to keep up with things. It helps drafts and trades move faster. It can help foster friendships, and you can talk smack if you want. I don't know what the barriers to joining group me would be. If you don't have a smartphone for some reason, pretty sure its on the computer anyways. If there is some other weird/unusual reason one couldn't that could be decided by the mods and taken on a case-by-case basis, with the understanding that GM may miss out on opportunities that only GroupMe can offer.
This doesn't stem just from our current issue. The last 2 years drafts have been slow, picks missed, trade opportunities missed, all because we couldn't get a hold of GMs due to quiet times on the boards. This would help speed up all those processes in my opinion. Maybe current GMs could be grandfathered in or worked around. Again, this would solve a lot of issues across all years and topics. All major business would still be done, posted, voted, discussed, etc on here before anything becomes final. No transactions or full league business would be done on GroupMe, but could be thought about and talked about before moving them here for the league to see and for it to be archived where we can all find it.

For what it’s worth, I would love to have all 32 on GroupMe, it’s a much better, easier place to discuss things, but some people (especially those not in the US) can’t sign up for GroupMe because it uses your phone number if I understand correctly. broncos GM Kevin for example I know he’s tried to sign up before but can’t. I think it should be heavily encouraged but not required personally.
Chatango was better about allowing people to use it but most people just prefer GroupMe. You can always find Kevin and Ricky on the chatango

I'd rather not, I hate group me with a passion, I don't own a smart or any cell phone, I had to join via a back door as I don't have a cell phone, when I'm locked out which happens a lot I have to jump through some hoops to get back in I'm constantly getting DM's from people I haven't a clue who they are... I've missed a lot of DM's as they vanish off the bottom of the page and finally I'm constantly posting the wrong content on the wrong group page.. |

I’d highly recommend setting up a Discord server over the options mentioned. It can do the same things but is also better.

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, switching to a new service would be fine too. I dislike discord, but if we could get all gms in it, I don't really care what it is. It's having everyone in one place where most of us can get to so that we don't have miscommunications.

I only recently got a smart phone and I'm sure gms just use a computer to participate in the league
