Rams GM (Frank), Titans GM (Ricky), and 3 more like this

Hey all, many of you know me as the Panthers here in Legacy, the Vikings in Legendary or the Saints in Destiny. As of today I will be taking lead in the league most sentimental to me, Legacy.
I started playing fantasy football with my now late father in 2009. We ran a team together in a 10 person public ESPN league and won our first year because I drafted Brett Favre late in the draft. We both fell in love with fantasy from that point on and played until he passed away. I found "NFFL", a now defunct 32-team league run by Royce Li (Cowboys) and Bryan (Patriots) and fell in love with this style of league. That league folded about 3 years ago, and when it did Kevin, our Legacy Broncos GM, recommended me to Frank (Frank was also in NFFL) and I took over the Carolina Panthers here.
I love Legacy because I escaped a sinking ship and found the most rock solid well run league i've ever seen. I didn't know how Frank maintained everything so well. I never worried about this league folding and I felt I could freely invest in players I would own 4 years later with no need to front load my team just in case it folds like NFFL. To me, that is what makes Legacy special. Frank and Frank's ability to lead is what makes Legacy special. As he has noted, some health issues are preventing him from being as involved as he used to be and that's why I am taking the wheel for the time being. If Frank decides a month or five years from now he is ready to take his league back I will go back to simply terrorizing the NFC South and processing things on MFL as i've done over the past years, happy as could be to have Frank back. If Frank never wants his role as Commish back, I promise to run this league as long as I possibly can. Not to be cheesy, but what Frank built here is a Legacy that is worthy of the word.
We have a truly excellent core of people in this league who help maintain the day to day work needed to keep us running well. Greg, Anthony, Blaine, Darryl and Ricky, I hope you five will continue to be that vital core for us. Our lightning quick TAB is also in place for some of the quickest processed trades in all of fantasy football. I have some ideas about how we might be able to make our competition a bit more competitive and fun. I want people to feel the passion for winning in this league that would drive someone with some free time to work up a mock draft or power ranking, and encourage discussion of the league as a whole.
What I promise to do as commissioner as long as I am here is to lead us as a group. This is an opinionated and passionate group and probably half the league has been here longer than I have. As commissioner I will need to make some tough decisions on team ownership, rule implementation and general disagreements between owners on issues that can be argued in good faith on both sides. What I hope to earn is your trust that I will only make those decisions based on the long term health of this league and nothing else. I will hear all sides of an argument and as often as possible changes will be made democratically. When a decision needs to be made either to end bickering or create swift clarity, I will need to be able to make that final call.
As a first order of business, I am asking everybody to please take some time to look through the league rules. I will be creating a to-do thread where I intend to clarify any possibly confusing language and update any rules that have not been reflected in the Official Rules post.
I appreciate you all putting the time and work in to making this such a compelling and fun place to spend some of our free time. I was in college when I started 32-team leagues, i'm now married with a daughter and a son due 7 weeks from now. I have a good job that I enjoy, and I really love having this league (As well as my others) to escape to my love of football a little bit.
