Hey guys, was thinking about something and wanted input. How would y’all feel about implementing some new Taxi Squad rules this off-season since we haven’t done really anything that would impact those players?
I’m thinking particularly of a poaching rule. The “putting 2nd round picks on the TS to tank” thing last year bothered the hell out of me. I think poaching creates an interesting dynamic and would give bad rosters another good option to get young players while preserving the ability for the owning team to keep those players if they find them valuable and worth that 48th roster spot.
Would also like your input on if players should have to pass through “waivers” to be added to the TS, of if we should be free to move players on and off the TS. That 2nd option would be easier to keep track of for sure, but the 1st option would create another activity point during the preseason, similarly to how real teams make surprising cuts that end up swapping teams before the season.

I've done it in a league a few years ago, it does make more work but it really makes you think twice about sticking someone on the taxi .. I think I lost around 60% of players I waived to "revert" to the practice squad if unclaimed... But you also add more. It also helps poorer teams get better and impacts richer teams stock piling ....
You'd need a separate sub forum, a waive to put on PS sub forum to distinguish from plain waivers.
Once waived a claiming team must declare whether to send them directly to their own PS or active roster, that's how we did it
As for poaching of a PS player then comp needs to be arranged
