LVR gives up: 2024 1st 2024 2nd 2024 4th DJ Chark $1.5M UFA 2022
MIN gives up: Brandin Cooks $13.5 UFA 2025 And agrees to cover $9.75M cap hit for 2022 and $3.75M cap hit for 2023.
Contract/cap hit would look like: 2022 - $3.75M LVR / $9.75M MIN 2023 - $9.75M LVR / $3.75M MIN 2024 - $13.5M LVR 2025 - $13.5M LVR
We decided to split the total cap hit for two years, with MIN taking most in 2022 and then shifting most to LVR in 2023.
Having to compete against Chiefs and some other AFC powerhouses I need more firepower. I will have to make some tough decisions next year and the years after if I'm going to keep him or have to sell him at a discount.

TAB, please hold off on voting on this for a second. I want to discuss with league leadership the concept of trading cap as it hasn’t come up yet as far as I know.

Also, this is in the wrong section, needs moving to Trades rather than Trade Block

Dan brought this thread up: legacynfl.boards.net/thread/5845/league-cap-exchangeIt looks like we used to have specific language allowing the coverage of salary as a part of a trade (To cope with imported NFL contracts, in part) that was struck down due to abuse of the concept. As I stated in Groupme, I don't think covered salary respects the concept of a hard salary cap for a contending team to be allowed more than 105M worth of contracts. We are going to void this trade, but I will update the rules language to prevent this confusion in the future. Apologies to Chief and Sanjul, but thank you for the clarifying opportunity.
