Wondering if it's worth treating these like we would roster spots, where you can't own more than the max picks you are allowed to make in a draft. If a team is hoarding draft picks, which they can't use, it feels like it hurts the league imo. I don't think there's been a team that has gone into the draft with too many picks since I've been here, but I feel like even during the regular and offseason it gives an advantage to one team holding a ton of leverage. Teams that could trade lower end picks even would have a chance to make moves that they can't if those picks are sitting in someone's basket. Maybe a non-issue, but thought I'd bring it up.

Depends on what you mean by too many, draft picks are absolutely key to rebuilding as FA is usually massively overpriced, a lot of draft picks will accelerate the build.. I had around 23 this season. I used 4 in RFA and a couple to move up in the draft giving me 17 first and second rounders. Looked like this
1.02 - 3.0M - Kenneth Walker - RB - Michigan State/Seattle Seahawks 1.06 - 3.0M - Garrett Wilson - WR - Ohio State/New York Jets 1.22 - 1.5M - Rachaad White - RB - Arizona State/Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1.23 - 1.5M - Alec Pierce - WR - Cincinnati/Indianapolis Colts 1.29 - 1.5M - Arnold Eberketie - ELB - Penn State/Atlanta Falcons 1.30 - 1.5M - Troy Anderson, OBLB - Montana State/Atlanta Falcons 1.31 - 1.5M - Tyler Allgeier - RB - BYU/Atlanta Falcons 1.32 - 1.5M - Travon Walker - DE - Georgia/Jacksonville Jaguars
2.01 - 1.42M - Lewis Cine - S - Georgia/Minnesota Vikings 2.02 - 1.42M - Jermaine Johnson - DE - Florida State/New York Jets 2.03 - 1.42M - Jalen Tolbert - WR - South Alabama/Dallas Cowboys 2.23 - 1.08M - Brian Robinson - RB - Alabama/Washington Commanders 2.24 - 1.08M - Jordan Davis - DT - Georgia/Philadelphia Eagles 2.28 - 1.08M - Jelani Woods - TE - Virginia/Indianapolis Colts 2.32 - 1.08M - Justyn Ross - WR - Clemson/Kansas City Chiefs
1.31 - Terry McLaurin (RFA LAR) 4.19 - Rock Ya Sin (RFA KCC) Waived pre season 4.29 - Bryant Austin (RFA BUF) Waived pre season 5.19 - Clelin Ferrell (RFA KCC)
In other leagues I'm having to rebuild over 4/5 drafts meaning I'm spending more time with a losing roster. As I say I very rarely overspend in FA so tend to come out of that period with very little irrespective of league
I'm ok with large numbers of picks as long as the owner works his/her best to get the most from them...no point having 20 plus picks then ignoring rfa or trading up
