My proposal is that the Legacy Cap be equal to 87% of the NFL actual salary cap.
In 2022 this would have been $180M. In 2023 this number would be $195M.
How I got to 87% -This league doesn't use OL, P, or LS positions. -The NFL average spent on those entire position groups per team is approx $27M, or about 13%. -NFL Salary Cap minus the 13% on positions not used = ~87%
Pros: -Determining the Legacy Cap would always be a simple percentage calculational constant, never needing to update or post about it for each year or upcoming years. -Gives teams more flexibility with spending and dead cap numbers which are on all contracts in this league, as opposed to the NFL which has many non-gauranteed and varying degrees of guaranteed money. -Teams can have more than one huge contract player and still field a competitive team. If the goal is to have teams competitive then teams shouldn't be forced to blow up or rebuild their team because one player has a huge contract. -Player salaries in Legacy would likely align more with their real NFL salaries, creating more parity and realism with the NFL.
Cons: -We would need to increase all current players salaries to align with the new cap. This would simply mean multiplying their current cap hit by the percentage increased in the new cap amount. -If you are against teams who want to keep "their guys" then a con would be that maybe a couple players don't hit FA or may not be available for trade yet.

The cap is already set to increase 5mil a year till it’s at 120 or 125. I actually like that as a distinction in this league. The cap is one of the bigger fluctuations in these leagues and it’s a fun new way to attack the scenario you are in. Here we have a slowly increasing cap from 100mil. Dynasty is a hard cap at 100. The new one starting up is 224 with a 5% increase yearly. I really think that the way it’s set up is nice and I enjoy it like this where I can have different situations in each league

Hard no from me, we'd have a TON of things to adjust for an arbitary number.
The 5m raise was something I was against but could live with. This is change for change sake

Cap went up 5M this year? I’m still at 105M If you go to the league voting room it’s proposition 4. The option that won is a 5mil increase yearly till 2026 when we reach 125mil. I’m assuming that begins to take place this year?
