Proposing that TS players have a reduced salary, similar to PS players having a lower minimum salary.
If teams want to use the TS salary option they would use the standard UFA process, but declare it as a TS Add and then they can use the lower salary structure as determined by the league.
If the player gets promoted then their salary goes up to the main me m for their time in the league.
Demoting back to TS could either be at no cost, or maybe a small dead cap hit. Generally sp along though in the NFL players who are on the PS and signed to the active roster don't have many (if any guarantees) in their contracts so there should be little to no dead cap considerations for TS players regardless.

I guess I’m against this. If I am remembering right TS already don’t count against your roster, cost nothing to cut if they are on your TS all year and are generally of the inexpensive variety already. I think the least that can be done is to manage your cap a little to make sure that you can sign those players. On top of that swapping salaries for players moving up and down from TS to roster seems complex and more work for admin. Not saying they wouldn’t agree to do it I’m just saying it seems needless when you can sign most TS players for league minimum and in my opinion call it good.

Totally with Joe on this one, taxi squad shouldn't be taking up more than 5% of your total cap and thats only if you're using all 8 spots, no need to lower it even more.
