CURRENTLY Contract option A: 150% or 12M for this positions (QB) Contract option B: 150% or 7M for these positions (RB,WR) Contract option C: 150% or 5M for these positions (TE,LB) Contract option D: 150% or 4M for these positions (DE,K,S) Contract option E: 150% or 3M for this positions (DT) Contract option F: 150% or 2.5M for this position (CB)
PROPOSAL Contract option A: 150% or 15M for this positions (QB) Contract option B: 150% or 9M for these positions (RB,WR,LB) Contract option C: 150% or 7.5M for these positions (TE,DE) Contract option D: 150% or 6M for these positions (K,S) Contract option E: 150% or 5M for this positions (DT) Contract option F: 150% or 4M for this position (CB)
With cap rising by 5m a year for the next 3 years, point scoring changes, and the removal of a 2nd extension I think these prices fit better whilst still giving a reduction in salary compared to what slightly above average players at these positions get in FA.
Open to suggestion on both salaries and what group each position should be in.

Unfortunately, this makes sense. I wonder if the WRs shouldn't have a separate category or 11m or 12m.
With the cap going up, prices will also increase, so this is necessary,
I initially thought the DT Price was a big jump , but with the scoring changes, the prices also make sense. Well thought out by Dan

I want to point out that any change shouldn't affect this year and should be introduced for the next offseason. Gives teams 1 last chance on the cheaper extension salaries given that some teams have already extended this offseason.

I think all prices should be raised at the same percentage that we are raising the cap (FT, RFA and Rookie contracts).
Since we have already started the season, and contracts are being posted, next year we should see a 15% increase in all these prices to match the 15% cap increase in the last 3 years.

Since we have already started the season, and contracts are being posted, next year we should see a 15% increase in all these prices to match the 15% cap increase in the last 3 years. I mean that was something I brought up when we discussed raising the cap but people didn't want to acknowledge that this was going to need to happen. Realistically we should raise all cap related items by the same % that the cap rises per year but thats way too much effort for LMs, so lets deal with things every year or 2 until we hit our next cap ceiling in 2026, hopefully people then realise that raising the cap doesn't actually give you any more cap space to play with because other things rise alongside the cap total. That being said, even if we wanted to raise the values by a set % a year I think that these values need changing given other changes such as a single extension rather than allowing 2, the scoring changes for certain positions, as well as positional scarcity and FA averages.
