I also would like to see unlimited buyouts until the start of the regular season, even if that means they are a bit more punitive, but don't mind keeping the buyout percentages the same. Either way works for me, but unlimited buyouts opens the league up to more activity and GM autonomy.

I have been reading through this thread and in my opinion, this year we should put a healthy thought into changes that foster and rewards activity.
Hyper active horse trading has a proven to get wins but the problem isn’t the activity, it’s the lack of scrutiny by tabs. It’s understood that each trade is in its own vacuum, but there should be some mindfulness on the cumulative asset exchange. I’ve pissed off a couple owners with the very few votes I have made, and the former is why.
There are plenty of other methods to successfully building a winner, and hyper horse trading has proven to fall flat on the championship count. Taking advantage of all the means to player acquisition and strategies to maintain the roster built is far and away the best model.
Final note. I believe we need a penalty box for bad/inactive owners and a probation period for new owners. That way we can cycle out the bad, and test drive the new.
With all of that said, I think we have done an outstanding job on building the best league I’ve ever seen. I ask that we respect what we have accomplished, take the emotion out of the decision making, and set us up for another decade.

I'll throw one in
The ability to extend a Franchise Tagged player, it happens in the NFL not sure why we can't do it here. It would follow the usual guidelines other than the season after the FT has been awarded (and the tag in the NFL is often a tide over contract while negotiations are continues) that player can be extended overriding the must have one yr left on contract rule...
Why I like it is if you have a couple of players that are key or favourites that need to be extended in the same season (I think it's Aiyuk and Taylor for the Panthers say in 24 here) Then this rule would allow the Panthers GM to extend the player of choice (I'd guess it would be Aiyuk in this case given RB's naturally short window and Taylors injury history) and tag the other with the intent to see if he worth extending in 25.

I also agree with the Falcons, waiving a player shouldn't preclude you picking him up again same season after a fair gap to allow others to pounce. again it happens all the time in the NFL
