Good afternoon gentlemen! Everything should now be updated on MFL to the point where we are comfortable opening up the league officially. This means TRADES ARE NOW ALLOWED, and teams may begin processing extensions and RFA tenders i. Be aware: Once an extension, franchise tag, etc is processed, changes are final. Tag/extend early at your own risk. Offseason schedule will be updated very soon to reflect 2024. Rule change votes will also be posted within the week, be aware, check in, and VOTE!
We are still looking for 2 GMs to take over our Packers and Saints. Please reach out if you have great candidates in mind.
Very important, there are a few changes taking place for the 2024 season.
1. Legacy will now require 2 starting LBs instead of 3. We will also add a second defensive Flex spot that can be used at any defensive position. This is in response to an MFL tweak that changed a ton of outside linebackers to DEs. We analyzed the effect of this change and believe it gets us back to a healthy spot as far as teams being able to field competitive lineups. For those who have invested heavily in the position, you may still start 3 or even 4 LBs with the flex change.
And a quick reminder of approved 2023 rule changes going into effect this season:
1. GMs are now eligible to extend Franchise Tagged players. Up to 3 years can be added to a franchise tagged player's contract at a 120% rate.
Ex: Player 's contract ended in 2023 and they are now a UFA. Team has placed the franchise tag on that player worth 15M. They are also using their one extension on this player. His contract is now 4 years, beginning 2024. 24: 15M 25-27: 18M
2. Extensions have increased this year to rationalize differences and keep up with rising cap:

Contract option B: 150% or 7M for these positions (RB,WR)
Contract option C: 150% or 5M for these positions (TE,LB)
Contract option D: 150% or 4M for these positions (DE,K,S)
