Just a suggestion here, maybe we can be allowed to void a year of a contract. so example. contract - Mario Williams 13: 6M 14: 8M 15: 10M 16: 12M 17: 14M with void - Mario Williams 13: 6M 14: 8M 15: 10M 16: Void 17: Void
We could avoid super high salaries of future years with this, but again we are already into the draft and some of you may of drafted a certain player over another because of his high salary in the future. Does this make sense? and if it does get implemented into this league, will their be a limit and how often will we be able to void a contract?

I think something like this may help our future, but maybe something not as extreme as voiding a yr and maybe taking off a certain percentage of the contract? Just an idea, but this could be a good direction to head.

I don't like this at all! The fact is that people have to spend their money more wisely. Allot of these guys in the draft should be passed up and allowed to go into free agency which will regulate and solve the problem of these high contracts, while giving everyone the same fair chance at acquiring that player. Many GM's are playing the numbers game in this draft, and by bailing out the big spenders this only distorts the playing field for all those that have played by the rules. If it aint broke, no need to fix it.

No one is forced to take a high contract, so the potential consequences involved is a risk the GM is willingly taking.

Yeah I agree with Colts and Rams. If we did this we would need to start over again.
