Adam Shefter reports from the Edward Jones Dome:
"The St. Louis Rams believe that they may have found a steal in free agency when they signed Jo-Lonn Dunbar three weeks ago. While Dunbar was a disappointment last year after many pundits had him projected as one of the better LB's, the organization believes that he may be due for a bounce back season. The reason being is because Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams is back in St. Louis, post the Bounty-Gate scandal that plagued the Rams defensive play caller. In 2012, Dunbar's solid numbers were directly related to Greg Williams son calling the shots in St. Louis after his fathers suspension. But, after a failed stint by former DC Tim Scott in 2013, and a 4 game suspension to start out the season, the man that originally brought in Dunbar in 2012 is now the defensive coordinator in St. Louis. Dunbar is an ideal outside linebacker playing in an aggressive scheme that should increase his output from a very vanilla defensive scheme that was run by Scott in 2013, who eventually had playing calling duties taken away from Head Coach Jeff Fisher. The Rams believe that Dunbar's number can be very close to his 2012 production, because his style of play is tailor made for a Greg Williams defensive scheme."
