For those owners that were with us last off season we began to make some changes to the scoring system from its inception rules. Primarily, we began a gradual reduction in the value of receptions and tackles. I believe that we must continue to downgrade the value of these two statistics as they throw off the balance of certain positions, primarily the WR and LB positions. Receptions started at a point value of 2 points per reception, and Tackles started at a value of 2 points per tackle, we reduced both down to 1.75 for the start of the 2014 season. Both I believe are still very over valued, and another reduction should be done in order to make the system more balanced.
Most standard leagues value receptions at 1 point per reception, as well as the same for tackles. But when Ryan started this league, he wanted to put an emphasis on that passing game so that RB's did not dominate the statistical categories. I believe we can honor that vision, and still make it a better overall scoring system if we shoot for 1.25 per reception and 1.25 per tackle. I would be in favor of going down from 1.75 to 1.25 for the start of the 2015 season, but we made some concessions to owners who wanted to make a more gradual change to the scoring system.
So I propose that both the reception and tackle point values go from 1.75 down to 1.50.
But, I am very open to going down to 1.25 and settling the issue once and for all if there is league wide support.

I'm not opposed to going with the majority in either case. I would vote for 1.25 pts for both because it may just take care of it.
