Legacy NFL GM's,
The deadline to offer restricted free agents tender contracts is coming fast, you will have until March 2nd at 11.59pm to post offers to all restricted free agents. Once that deadline passes, I will clear Google docs of all RFA who have not been tendered a contract. If you intend on resigning RFA's, get on the ball asap and place your offer in the RFA Bidding room.
The deadline for all contract options is coming up as well, on March 10th. If you plan on using your franchise tag, contract extension, contract restructure or contract buyout, time is running thin and I suggest getting that up asap as well.
We need to do a massive roster check and make sure that the roster on Google and MFL match up. I have found several instances, where a player appears on Google doc, but is a free agent on MFL. This is a recipe for disaster, because when free agency starts, we may have players under contract that may get bid on. I'm going to be calling on all GMs to cross reference their Google roster and their MFL roster. Remember, Google is the official roster of the league, and MFL needs to match Google. If you find a discrepancy, just drop me a PM, and I will fix the problem. This is urgent, I need everyone to get on the ball with this.
Also, if you have any players on Google doc that state that your particular player is NOT ON MFL, please double check for me that that player may now have been added to the MFL database. If they have, I need to know and I will add him on MFL for you. Again, if that player is listed in Google docs and has been recently added to the MFL database, he will then come up as a free agent. Again, we may have another scenario where a player under contract is being bid on which will cause problems and confusion.
There's a lot of little things we need to do as we head toward free agency, and I could use just a little help from every GM just to double check their own rosters.
Thanks again guys, and best of luck to everyone in the offseason.
Frank
