Basically all we are doing is adding incentives and Signing Bonuses to the UFA Bidding process to help bidders win their players and to create a different strategic element while bidding. This will also help teams with less cap be able to take shots at UFA's that they normally be able to bid on. THIS WILL JUST BE AN ADDITION TO THE CURRENT UFA BIDDING RULES.
Bidding Signing Bonuses and Incentives
Signing Bonus:
A signing bonus may be added to the first year of a players contract if that player is signed for 3 or more years at a maximum of $5 Mil in a signing bonus. For every $1 Mil in a signing bonus then the bidding team adds an extra .5 pts to the bidding point scale like so:
The Bills Sign A.J. Green (WR - CIN) $10 Mil Total ($5 Signing Bonus) for 2013 and then $5Mil 2014, $5 Mil 2015, 2016 (UFA)
So here $5 Mil at 3 years signed would equal 8 Points
The signing bonus of $5mil would add an additional 2.5 Points
This contract would be worth 10.5 Points!
Incentives:
A player may be given incentive money for the 2nd yr of his contract and beyond in dividends of $.1 Mil to a maximum of $2 Mil per year. The incentive bonus is worth .1 Points for every .1 Spent per year as an additional incentive bonus. Incentives may be given only to players signed for 3 or more years.
Same contract as before with incentives added the 2nd and 3rd yr.

The regular point scale would be $5 Mil for 3 Years=8 Points
The $5 Mil Signing bonus adds +2.5 Points
The additional $1Mil Incentive Bonus per year adds 1 Point per each year at and additional +2 Points total.
This adds up to a grand total of 12.5 Points!
-In addition, if a GM decides to cut a player with incentive/signing Bonus, That organization will be responsible for for paying the cut player his full Signing bonus and 25% of the players base salary. The Incentive bonuses will NOT be included during the remaining years of Cap Penalties when dropped if the player had them when cut from a team, just the players base salary for those remaining years.
