NYG Trades Danny Woodhead (SD-RB) 3/3/3UFA
Jets Trades Cole Beasly (WR-DAL) .5/UFA Rashad Johnson (S-Ten) 2.75/UFA
Giants accept with post and proposed on MFL. Want to give this years Giants every chance possible to win as many games as we can and I think this deal helps with that. Woodhead is a PPR machine and will be one next year, but we will deal with his loose in the offseason. Jets once again thanks for the quick talks and best of luck

jets accept starting off 1-4 really puts the odds against a playoff birth, beasley is beastley this year, but he is ufa along with johnson, get to add woodhead for next years run and he has a high ceiling, but also a low floor coming off injury at 32

All of the waiver additions have not been done for the Giants, After the two open bids are added to his roster, this trade puts them over the cap. This trade should be reversed and the Giants should face a cap violation penalty.
I would normally not be looking at these this closely, but the Giants were bidding on two players that I started bids on and I was wondering how they could add these players and stay within the cap. I guess that I now know why.

His contract of 0.6, was removed after the bidding had closed. But he is on TB rosters. So I did have cap space. And I also posted it in GoogleDoc Error section.

The Cory Peters contract threw me off, in fact I had the last valid bid on Griffen until that was brought to my attention, which threw off all the numbers on Google.

I went through all the waiver archives, and I cant find any trace of a Cory Peters contract being waived, but he was signed as a free agent this past year by the Bucs.

So the Peters issue plays into the bidding and its timing. I will try and do my best to figure that out now.

Well, considering that there were multiple bids and trades in the works at around the same time, its one hell of a job to try and figure this out. The Peters issue complicated things, because as I watched the Michael Griffin bidding unfold to the very end because had the last valid bid, it came as a loophole when the Giants re-advised me about the Peters issue. So the Giants made some bids under the assumption that his bids were valid because the Peters issue was never processed. The Peters issue made it also difficult on LM, because it required an investigation which I did not have time to make while free agent bidding was ending. I went through all the waiver archives, and I did not see Peters get waived by anybody this year, or in past years. What we know is that the Bucs signed him as a free agent, and owned his rights, and sitting on the Giants roster at the same time. I cant tell you how frustrating it is to try and find a 0.14 waiver cap hit through 4 years of waiver cuts, and I was not about to start pouring through countless trades to try and track down where he may have been acquired and when. That being said, I will find a middle row here to solve this problem, since the Giants are currently on the books with two free agents wins, and a trade in the midst of a vote, but doesn't have enough money to sign all these transaction. The two free agents on the board will revert back to the last valid bids, and the trades will stand.
