Just wondering if invalid bids that are noticed in any free agent bid, whether as a league we should start to point this out publicly that a current bid is invalid to secure the fairness of the free agency process. It has become a practice that when a GM is focused on any particular player, when that GM is leading in a particular bidding war, he or she stays quite in the hopes that the previous bid that was invalidly put in will go unnoticed thus winning that free agent. Is this a shaddy practice? Or should invalid bids, when noticed be highlighted by league members?

I get no help in another league im in. It's up to us as Individuals to make sure we make a valid bid. Not rely on other people to hold our hands and point it out...IMO

I totally agree Texans. However, seems to be another two-edged sword situation imo.
With admin usually strapped for time, it makes it difficult to keep up with monitoring bids. Therefore, certain bids that are invalid will go unnoticed. Had a GM NOT placed an invalid bid in some situations, purportedly extending the time and increasing the contract, some GM's could claim to have been deterred from bidding - believing the player is out of their range. Something to the extent..."well, maybe others would have bid had they known the player was still in their price range".
Then there is the situation when a player could have potentially been won, but then bidding continues on top of an invalid bid, extending the time before the player is rightfully rewarded. I've seen where an invalid bid even alerts other GM's to the player in question...In fact, I've won players...well, at least 1 I'm aware of, with an invalid bid. It wasn't pointed out and went unnoticed, even by me until he was on my roster.
