What a year! I really think this league has reached a turning point toward future competition. In other words, while the perennial power houses for the most part remain, other divisional teams have begun to step-up. "Give-away" games are disappearing, thanks in part to new GM's who have embraced building a dynasty, and in part to seasoned GM's who have been dedicated to building.
As of Week 12, there are 16 teams vying for a playoff birth. Of those 16 (9) are from the NFC and (7) from the AFC.
Let's begin with the current NFC Seeding and race.
*Giants, Cardinals and Bears have already clinched their respective division.
Division 1) New York Giants 10-1
2) Arizona Cardinals 9-2
3) Chicago Bears 9-2
4) Atlanta Falcons 7-4 (Falcons can clinch their division with a win over the Carolina Panthers)
Wildcard
5) Los Angeles Rams 7-4 (Rams can secure a Wildcard with a victory over division rival Cardinals)
6)Philadelphia Eagles 7-4 (Eagles can secure a Wildcard with a victory over division rival Giants)
Still in the hunt 7) Dallas Cowboys 7-4 (Cowboys can secure a Wildcard with a victory over the Washington Redskins AND either a Rams or Eagles loss)
8) Tampa Bay Bucs 6-5 (The Bucs can clinch the division with a win over the New Orleans Saints AND a Falcons loss - They can secure a Wildcard with a win AND losses by two of either Eagles, Rams, Cowboys)
9) Minnesota Vikings 6-5 (Vikings can secure a Wildcard with a victory over the Green Bay Packers AND a loss by the Rams and Eagles, and either the Cowboys or Bucs

Congrats to the 2018 Legacy NFL Playoff Contenders!
Here are your NFC Division Winners and Wildcards seeding...
Division 1) New York Giants 10-2 2) Chicago Bears 10-2 3) Arizona Cardinals 9-3 4) Atlanta Falcons 8-4
Wildcard 5) Los Angeles Rams 8-4 6)Philadelphia Eagles 8-4
With the #1 Giants and #2 Bears enjoying a 1st round bye:
the #6 Eagles will visit the defending Legacy NFL Champions #3 Cardinals in the first wildcard game. Cards are 1-0 against the Eagles as they defeated them during their only regular season match-up in 2016. This is the first time the Eagles made the playoffs, and will have their work cut out for them.
*If the Eagles win, they will face off with the New York Giants for the 3rd time this season. If Cards win, Cards will face the Chicago Bears
Meanwhile, the #4 Falcons will host the #5 Rams. They have played one another a total of 3 times, with Los Angeles boasting a 3-0 record. Two regular season games (2013 & 2015) and once during the playoffs (2013). Neither team is a stranger to the Playoffs, bringing plenty of experience to the table.
*If the Rams win, they will face off with the New York Giants if the Eagles lose, but the Bears if Eagles win.
**If the Falcons win, they will face the Giants if Cards win, Bears if Cards lose

Division 1) Oakland Raiders 11-1 2) Tennessee Titans 10-2 3) New England Patriots 9-3 4) Pittsburgh Steelers 8-4

With the #1 Raiders and #2 Titans enjoying a 1st round bye: the #6 Colts will visit the #3 Patriots in the first wildcard game. This is the 3rd meeting between these two teams. Colts are 1-0 against the Pat's during the regular season (2016) and the teams are tied 1-1 in the Playoffs. Congrats to the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Indianapolis Colts for winning their Wild Card match-up and advancing to Divisional Round play!
NFC CONFERENCE
#3 Cardinals (9-3) vs. #2 Bears (10-2) - Arizona, the current reigning Superbowl champion, defeated the Eagles to get here. The Bears, who enjoyed a 1st round bye, will attempt to prevent a 4th Superbowl bid for the Cardinals by placing a bid of their own. This game presents an interesting match-up between these teams. The Bears are 1-0 against the Cardinals in regular season play, yet 0-2 in the playoffs. On paper, these teams are among the leagues top scorers.
#5 Rams (8-4) vs. #1 Giants (10-2) - Another intriguing NFC match-up. Both of these teams have plenty of playoff experience. Both are among the leagues top scorers, and both have a Superbowl victory under their belt. In fact, they are the only other teams outside of the Cardinals to win the Legacy Superbowl. Los Angeles defeated a resilient Atlanta team to get here. Giants are coming off a 1st round bye, having secured the number one seed. Interestingly no team has won more games than the Rams, but they have yet to defeat the Giants. NYG are 2-0 against the Rams during the regular season, and 1-0 against them during the playoffs. This will be their second playoff match-up.
AFC CONFERENCE
#4 Steelers (7-5) vs. #2 Titans (10-2) - Pittsburgh defeated a strong Jaguars team to get here. Titans, coming off their bye, has only faced the Steelers once during the regular season, resulting in a loss last year. Both teams are making their 3rd playoff appearance, and were neck-in-neck during the regular season. This is the first time these two teams will meet in the playoffs.
#6 Colts (8-4) vs. #1 Raiders (11-1) - Colts defeated the New England Patriots to get to this point. Raiders, enjoying a 1st round bye, is the AFC's top scoring team. They will face the Colts for the 3rd time in the leagues history. Indy leads the regular season series 1-0 and having defeated Oakland in 2013, are also 1-0 in the playoffs. Thus this will be there second playoff match-up.

Super congrats to the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, Oakland Raiders, and Pittsburgh Steelers for winning their Divisional Round match-up and advancing to Conference Round play! NFC CONFERENCE#5 Rams (8-4) vs. #3 Cardinals (9-3) - Arizona defeats the Chicago Bears, while Los Angeles defeats the New York Giants, setting the stage for this Conference Title match between these divisional rivals. In the five year history of this league, these two NFC power houses have combined to win a total of 4 of the 5 previous Legacy NFL Superbowl's (Cards 3, Rams 1). Cards are looking for their 4th opportunity to represent the NFC while Rams are seeking their 2nd. AFC CONFERENCE#4 Steelers (7-5) vs. #1 Raiders (11-1) - Pittsburgh defeats the Tennessee Titans, while Oakland defeats the Indianapolis Colts, setting the stage for this Conference Title match. Unlike the NFC, however, this will be the 1st Legacy NFL Superbowl appearance for the winner. Much like the NFC - the best two teams have stepped forward. The right to represent the AFC comes down to the final battle between these two power houses.

And here we go. That final game of the season in which we place all of our efforts and hopes - for an opportunity to win it all...The 2018 Legacy NFL Superbowl! showdown!!!
This year's battle features two teams who have earned the right to be here. They have played their hearts out during the season and have excelled in the playoffs.
Once again from the NFC, it will be current Superbowl Champion Arizona Cardinals. The Cards are already 3-Time Superbowl Champions, which includes not only back-2-back Championships...but also an opportunity for a 3-Peat!!! But it may not be that easy as they will go to battle against the AFC's Champion, the Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders, for the most part, went undetected as a potential candidate for the Superbowl during the preseason. In this, their 2nd Playoff appearance, It will be their first opportunity to represent the AFC in the big game. They bring grit and determination in a quest for the AFC's first league title. It's a true David and Goliath battle we'll all be tuned in to watch!!! It's the....
AFC CONFERENCE CHAMPION - OAKLAND RAIDERS (11-1)
VS.
NFC CONFERENCE CHAMPION - ARIZONA CARDINALS (9-3)
