As you guys know by now, we didn't have any points for this rule on the books. I have arbitrarily assigned a 7 point award for this rare occasion scoring moment for the rest of the 2019 season, but this is also a good time as a league to discuss how we want to award points for such a play.
Do we go with a simple 6 pint touchdown rule, and assign points per yard like we would any other type of return?
Or do we make this an impact play, and assign premium points to highlight the fact that a play like this is very rare and impactful on a game?
Thoughts?

I think having similar points to fumble recovery td or interception td would be sufficient. It is rare, but it is a defensive player defending the ball with a takeaway, just my opinion

I'm not sure if this is still an open topic for discussion, but I agree with Jets GM Joe. I see this as a rare play by a defensive player, which should be compensated with the same respect as a fumble recovery/ INT returned for a TD.

I think yards and td should be counted on returns. or 2 points and yards on a blocked xp or 2pt conversion.
