"Include Guaranteed Money for Free Agents which would add to the points for bidding and count as a cap hit for that first yr
Example: Bills sign Warren Sapp (DT-TB) 4yrs @ 5mil/yr + 5mil guaranteed = 14 points if he were to be cut during this time that first yr he was cut would induce a 5 mil cap hit + the regular cap hit, however the guaranteed money cap hit could be spread out between the yrs of the cap hit.
Maybe we could do signing bonuses as well
4yrs @ 5 mil + 3mil signing bonus = 12 pts then the signing bonus would go in as a cap hit for that first yr he is signed
Maybe you guys could come up with something better for this, just some ideas I got rolling around."

I like the signing bonus idea, it's a fairly simple idea. The guaranteed money part I'm a little more perplexed on, but I would consider if someone can explain in simple terms where it won't confuse league members.

basically it adds to his points in UFA, but if he were to be cut his regular salary cut cost + his Guaranteed would be deducted in the "first year" of his being cut, but I think the penalty would have to be greater, thinking on it now. Since we use a Google Doc it would make life pretty easy to do something like this.
What if he is bid on with guarantee money and he is ever cut, he has to be cut at 75% of his cap? that would be a little more risky to guarantee money to a guy.

I don't know, it kinda complicates things and i don't feel as if its necessary but it would make things more realistic. I'll hold off on voting for now

I'm with panthers on this, think the FA bidding setup is good enough and really don't want to over complicate stuff

I'm just going to go ahead and veto this one without a full vote, because there was never really any hard proposition made for this rule and everyone that has commented on it seems reluctant.
