"Put a time restriction on DOT members to vote on trades"

This suggested rule change came about when trades were being pushed tight up against Sunday morning games. We can't have trades up in limbo for close to a week at a time as we had in this league this past year. My proposition is to put together an email list of all active members in the DOT and push a little more on the communication aspect of the committee, and if for some reason not enough votes are accounted for to pass or veto a trade by 8pm EST on any given Sat, then the commissioner have finally authority on the trade, but only as an absolute last resort. But, the primary objective should be to get DOT members here to vote.

The biggest issue I think was when two DOT members made a trade together so they couldn't vote… Our core of members is usually pretty good, but when we trade together thats when some of the issues arose. I think maybe we should shoot this season out with an extreme say 36 hr rule or a cutoff of 11a.m sundays or 6p.m. on thursdays. I feel we will be fine this year and would rather see this as more of a test this year as opposed to a full blown rule. I think we should be fine.

I'm just not sure how we would enforce this. I think we just need to have better communication, lets put an email list together and get DOT members in to vote.

If we can't get 3 votes in by Sat evening, then the league commish can make the call before Sunday's games.

i dont think there should be a time limit. DOT just need to vote or be replaced easy as that

How about this, 24hrs and the trade is standing at either (2-0) or (0-2) then the 24hr rule sides with the previous two DOT votes. This will allow for more time for a restructure if it is vetoed and should be a happy middle place to keep everyone happy.
I approve this ^

Again, I'm not sure how we can enforce this and at least 3 votes I think is better.
VETO 1-1

I think we will kick the bucket on this one, I think to be proactive I am going to up the DOT teams, one of our big problems last year was just DOT members only really setting their lineups and bouncing, not really checking in too much…. If this problem persists, we will come back to it next year.
