I do wanna see at least 22 threads from the Jets to waive these players. Not just waived off MFL en masse
NFL players opting out will receive a base 150K or 350K depending on if it's a medical opt out. So NFL teams are not paying opt out salaries
I think there will be a season there's way too much money involved, but we may get postponements which will wreck big league fantasy line ups. We're also going to get a lot of one week IR players missing up to two games. I can see the season extended time wise to accommodate or shortened
If college ball moves to spring then the issue of the draft becomes interesting because if the NFL stick to May then the college season is probably still in full swing. That may mean it's in the best interest of the NFL to put their season start to Spring, keeping the two systems in line. If not then delaying the draft would have issues for a full preseason again. Playing the season but cancelling the draft would leave issues with two seasons worth of draft picks to calculate
Another issue if it is spring college ball would be some rookies playing a college season and NFL season in the same year. If the draft stays at it's current spot then all seniors with plans of declaring for the draft and highly regarded Juniors etc doing the same could opt out of the college season maybe which may cause issues for the college teams
Going to be real interesting to see how this is sorted out

I'm in agreement with the pre season roster limit. At one time I believe Frank was floating around the idea of a taxi squad. Maybe that's how teams could stash players they want to keep that would normally put them over roster limits. Or if get rid of the 5th round rookie to give more flexibility for taxi squads if went that route.
Far as the QB situation. May have been mentioned before but what if when you sign a starting QB you automatically get the back ups who are on the NFL roster at a set price. I think overall that may be more work than it's worth with QB's switching NFL teams and such but that may help with competitive balance far as keeping back ups QB's for every roster.
