Thoughts on a 2nd contract buyout. Same rules would apply as to our current buyout rules per league rules.
Instead on one contract buyout during our contract options period, we would have two contract buyouts

My first 32 teamer had unlimited contract buyouts. Usually people would just do one or two anyway, but it did allow people in rebuild or who took over a roster with some bad free agent signings to fix cap situations in a year rather than hold onto these huge contracts for 2-3 seasons. I think two would be a perfect number..The cap hit on a long deal still hurts a lot, and really anytime a good player is added to the FA pool seems like a positive to me.
Now when do we discuss "voidable years" lol

I would be okay with multiple buyouts but I think they need to much harsher for players on longer term contracts. Getting away with paying less than 100% of 1yr salary for a player with 3+ years left on the contract is pretty insane IMO.
I think it should be a flat 35% per year: 1yr: 35% 2yr: 70% 3yr: 105% 4yr: 140%
but would be open to reducing slightly for each additional year: 1yr: 35% (Currently 35%) 2yr: 65% (Currently 60%) 3yr: 90% (Currently 75%) 4yr: 110% (Currently 90%)
