We need to better define who and what a rookie is in this league, there always seems to be some confusion in regards to RFA.
Ill be looking at other leagues to see how they go about defining rookies, any thoughts would be appreciated.

IMO a rookie year is the first year a player plays his first snap in the NFL. But I'll not argue the point strenuously

I agree. If a player plays a single snap, hell id even say if they are active for a game then that is their rookie season. Also if they are placed onto IR prior to the season (so Perryman wouldn't be a rookie this season)
