Legacy NFL DOT members,
I would like to put to in a special exemption vote for the Arizona Cardinals organization, an extension to be able to utilize their contract options. Gremlin has expressed some difficulties with life experiences this past off-season, and thus I am proposing a 72 hour special exemption window for the Cardinals to be able to use his contract options. I dont see this as too big of a problem myself, as we have not yet gotten to the start of unrestricted free agency. As a commissioner, I know from past experiences, that when ever you make exceptions to the rules it often times comes back to bite you, as the competitive nature of the game makes for the abuse of certain rules later on. So with that in mind, instead of making an arbitrary decision on my own, I prefer a DOT member vote.

please... no hard feelings for voting this down.
I wouldnt have even asked if it game me a competitive edge, but rules are rules.
i wont be voting.

I would be in favor of the exception. Sometimes life gets in the way of fantasy football and that’s OK.

No brainer of a decision here. We should try and help out league members as much as possible, when they ask for some help. We're all competitive and want to win...but helping others, imo always trumps everything. If I could vote twice I would.

I agree with the above comments made...and after giving considerable thought, disagree.
Importantly, what I am disagreeing to is not so much with an exception being made, but more so in the manner in which it is attempting to be made. From my perspective which is taken in light of my experience, and which btw includes the above thoughts, not all members actually voice their opinions and/or concerns. This single fact is significant - because if one or more GM's happened to have missed a deadline because of dealings with real life, they just miss the deadline and live with the consequences. In other words, they remain silent and just continue to live within the confines of the rules.
Rather than making a single exception, which, as Frank mentions can cause unnecessary issues down the line, I'd much rather see a message go out to all members - giving everyone the opportunity to exercise contract options during this extended period.

Great point Darryl, if the measure passes, the 72 hour window will be for all GM's here at Legacy.

For the record, the Rams will abstain from the vote unless a tie breaker vote is needed.

I’ve gotten wrapped up in work and life smashing me at once - Gremlin is a dedicated GM and I’ll give him credit for that. Approve.

I take this stuff as serious as the next person , but there are limits and when like gets in the way, and where we can , we should be there for each other. Surprised it’s this close of a vote to be honest.

This measure has passed, all Legacy NFL teams have a 72 hour window to exercise contract options that they may have not exercised during the regular period period of contract options. This measure will effectively end on 4/7/2018 @ 3.30pm EST
