This proposition would be a modest 0.50 point credit for every QB hit. Just like last year where we raised the passed defense hit to make secondary players more relevant to our scoring system, we are looking to add another element to our defensive line. While defensive ends would get a nice boost in value, Im hoping to make Defensive Tackles more relevant in our scoring system, and possibly raise this position from the lowest valued position in this league, to maybe a moderate level position, to the equivalency of the CB/S position. Either way, QB hits take their toll on QB's throughout the course of a 4 quarter game, and while its effects on the scorecard are not direct , the psychological effect it has on NFL QB's is a big part of the game. So the debate here is whether we want to incorporate an element where players get credit for an aspect of the game that has no scorecard benefit, but rather has both a psychological and physiological effect on QB's.
